Thank you! This evening I was very thankful to hear a friend comment on my proper use of irrespective. And similarly, neither of us use the f$#king make-believe-word irregardless.

Sure, the word irregardless appears in various dictionaries. Irregardless* is even in urbandictionary.com - properly defined (IMO), albeit a source of other make-believe-words, but still. Really people?

Nevertheless, this evening, I believe I was among several who feel likewise about the non-word, despite its being in existence as early as 1795 (per wikipedia). And this evening, I also learned about David Mitchell's Soapbox (on Facebook, on YouTube), otherwise also known as "i-am-going-to-binge-watch-soapbox" (because I'm still not employed).

seen it, been there, done that - eyebombing.

my first encounter ... on the streets of san francisco, i spotted what i later learned was eyebombing (explained here).

and after that day, i became much more aware of prime eyebomb real estate, spotting several victims (even outside of san francisco) over the course of a few weeks.

my turn ... shortly thereafter, let's just say that i live near a crafts store, and i quickly learned that one must remember to purchase the peel and stick version, which comes in several sizes (like the cute ones over here), so that you can keep them in your wallet.

not just for public space ... while eyebombing's goal of "humanizing the world one googly eye at a time" is awesome for public spaces, it's equally enjoyable for personal touches. this was evident after my greeting card effort for a friend and my boston terrier socks adornment. in fact, for new year's day, my squirrel socks were treated to eyebombing.

beyond bite-sized ... my stash of googly eyes fits nicely in my purse, wallet, lipstick holder, etc. however, this christmas, the family got me a pair of giant googly eyes (via archie mcphee) - a pair that i can't quite shove in my hip pocket. (woohoo!)

there's an app for that ...  yup, turns out, if i want to googly eye a picture, guess what? there's an app for that by anglesong creations llc over here for the android phone, as well as for iOS over here.

improv @UnDashScripted and SNL ... puppets galore!

at #SFIF ... fun to see (for the first time) several members of the un-scripted theater company (on web, facebook, twitter) creative ensemble. my friend and i really enjoyed their clever bollywood puppet extravaganza from the audience suggestion of "jaws" - yes, their SFIF jaws bollywood puppet fun (over here on ustream, resolved technical difficulties at 14:57 min) was FUN! totally looking forward to their november-december show - history: the musical - with or without puppets - gonna check 'em out.

SNL season premiere ... meanwhile, this weekend's season opener of SNL reminded me of puppet fun. with an introduction to puppetry class led by seth macfarlane's character, it was definitely bill hader's character (anthony peter coleman) and his puppet tony - that got the belly laughs going ...

monty python's the meaning of life

monty python memories ... i-beam (san francisco, on wiki) - in the '80s. memories of college student night dancing - cheap, strong drinks - videos.

side bar ... back in the day, awesome concerts for way cheap (hovering around $10 give or take - and mostly take). i remember seeing erasure (1987) because my friends and i were near the front, staring up at andy bell's red jockstrap-like costumey thing. ALSO, i remember my girlfriends and i were in the area one evening and HAD TO PEE BIG TIME, so we actually found parking just in front of the i-beam, asked if we could go pee, and they told us we had to pay cover. we paid $7 each (i think) to go to the bathroom and then hung around for the cat heads and the meat puppets (apparently on jan 20,1986 per this poster).

anyway, back to the video clips. AH YES, video clips of movie scenes. well, this fiber break is not for the faint of heart. REALLY! IT'S NOT . if you remember the monty python movie the meaning of life, then you MUST remember mr. creosote and john cleese (as the waiter) with a rather infamous line -

"it's only a wafer thin."

while i don't yet have a dog, puppies and doggies are occasional breakfast/brunch conversation - gadgetman just watched an episode ("anger management") of dog whisperer, a friend just adopted ellis (ahhhh - puppy breath!), shiny penny is in love with max (his boston terrier) even after seeing this other boston have a pokemon moment, and i am in doggy-wanting mode. nevertheless, i immediately remembered the episode of dogs in the city with hubbell yoda where -

i am looking forward to the new season of mike & molly (on imdb)! it's a sure thing that when victoria (katy mixon) is in a scene, there's a chuckle and nutty line that is well-delivered. (check out vanity fair's katy mixon interview over here)  meanwhile, as i realized that it's almost august and october's halloween is in a couple of months, i remembered this hilarious (to me) scene.
