PR epi8 - nutkin'rs picks & scores

#ProjectRunway ... (SPOILER) here are episode 8 results - the chosen few picks, episode results, and scores heading into episode 9. recap links will be in a separate post. with this week's episode of  three teams of three, it made for a somewhat interesting episode - somewhat. what i did not enjoy was the amount of air time for gunnar. i was surprised about the amount of air time for elena and alicia. and i WISH there was more tim gunn air time. (I WANT MORE GUNN!)

thanks again to harold's girl not only for texting epi8 results before the west coast viewing but also for chatting a little about the episode during my commute home.

episode 8 - the "fee-for-tee" challenge ... designers had to make money in order to purchase their fabric and notions. they were given arts & crafts stuff & tee shirts. in an attempt to pimp their tee-shirt designs, the 3 teams took the NYC streets to beg negotiate some fee-for-tee. check recaps elsewhere for more details.

the chosen few ... for epi8, here are each nutkin'rs' predictions and then the math explained - point system explained in this post over here. rather than a bottom 3, there was a bottom 6 in epi8, but at least in this episode, someone was AUF'd (awwww - sad face). here are some highlights -

• only 1 nutkin'r - zoe's buddy - predicted the loser
• only 1 nutkin'r - harold's girl - had a bottom 3 with a 3 for 3!
• all nutkin'rs had only 1 correctly predicted top3 
• all nutkin'rs' predicted winners and final 3/4 are still in tact

standings after episode 8 ... while zoe's buddy  is holding on to 1st place, he has company - harold's girl. yup! scoot over. shiny penny inched by 0.25 point ahead of squirrel, who is moving down in standing from 1st, 2nd, and now 4th place. pho queen is just 2.25 from 4th place - she can move up! and now we have a point spread of 7.50 points. now for the math!

• zoe's buddy + 8 - 1.5  = + 6.5 points for  1st place TIE (last wk 1st) ... + 1 (final 3/4 in tact) + 1 (predicted the loser would be alicia) + 3 (predicted alicia in the pair 'em ups) + 1 (predicted one of the top 3) + 2 (predicted two for the bottom 3) - 1 (predicted two in reverse in the top) - 0.50 (predicted one in reverse in the bottom). 
• harold's girl + 10 - 1 = + 9 points for 1st place TIE (last wk 3rd) ... + 1 (final 3/4 in tact) + 3 (predicted alicia in the pair 'em ups) + 1 (predicted one of the top 3) + 3 (predicted three for the bottom 3) + 2 (BONUS for all bot3) - 1 (predicted two in reverse in the top).
• shiny penny + 7 - 1.50 = + 5.5 points for 3rd place (last wk 4th) ... + 1 (final 3/4 in tact) + 3 (predicted alicia in the pair 'em ups) + 1 (predicted one of the top 3) + 2 (predicted two for the bottom 3) - 1 (predicted two in reverse in the top) - 0.50 (predicted one in reverse in the bottom).
